Tavern 99, located at 128 East Andrews Drive in Buckhead, has closed. The restaurant shut its doors following its 3rd annual ATL’s Rockin’ New Year’s Eve party.
I am personally sad to see it go as it had become one of my favorite music venues in Atlanta. Ed Roland, Marc Broussard, Pat McGee, David Ryan Harris, James Otto, Levi Lowrey, Ernie Halter and John Driskell Hopkins are just some of the musicians to grace its stage recently. Thanks for the great memories, Tavern 99…I’ll miss you.
UPDATE: Tavern 99 posted the following statement on Facebook: “To all of our great fans who have supported us over the years we want to thank you. Tavern 99 has been sold. The new owners will be renovating the restaurant and reconcepting it.”
Once you get done hanging out with family, Thanksgiving Night is really the perfect time to go out drinking. You probably don’t have to work on Friday and you just might need a drink after spending all day with your family. Here are some Atlanta bars that will be open on Thanksgiving Night:
Tavern 99, a sports bar in the heart of Buckhead, will be donating $1 of every order of HOT flavored buffalo wings sold between December 1, 2011 and January 31, 2012 to Bert’s Big Adventure.
Bert’s Big Adventure is a non-profit organization founded by Q100’s Bert Weiss and his wife Stacey that provides a spectacular five day journey to Walt Disney World® for children with a chronic and/or terminal illness and their families.
Executive Chef Darrell Rice takes great pride in his buffalo wings which are definitely some of the best in the area. Tavern 99 also has 27 different beers on tap including local favorites Sweetwater, Terrapin, Monday Night Brewing and Red Hare. Tavern 99 is located at 128 East Andrews Drive, Atlanta, GA. 30305.
